National Primary CL Teachers' Seminar
Channel 8 reported on the MOE's Chinese Language (CL) Open Classroom Session, which took place on April 4, 2025. The teacher who demonstrated this Open Classroom Session was our very own Mee Toh School' Senior Teacher (Chinese), Mdm Zhang Yinan! During the session, primary CL teachers had the opportunity to tune in to the live stream and learn how to nurture students' interest in learning CL through activities such as "Spot the Difference," gamification, and animation resources.
The report also featured a soundbite from Mdm Zhang, stating that parents' feedback on the teaching method was positive and that it encouraged their children to speak CL more regularly at home. Our student, Deng Lanqi Rosabel from P1-9, also shared that her favorite part of the lesson was the small character cards (字宝宝), which make learning Chinese characters fun.
